"Public Programs - Impressionists in Winter"

Critic Judy Sund, Professor of Art History at Queens College, CUNY, will examine the link between the snow effects, or effets de neige, found in the exhibition and modernist aesthetics on Thursday, July 8, 1999. The exhibit features over 50 paintings by Monet, Renoir, Pissaro, Sisley, Cezanne, Caillebotte and Gauguin. This major exhition of exquisite and experimental Impressionist winter scenes will be at the Museum through August 29, 1999.
