1999-07-31 until 1999-10-30
Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute
Williamstown, MA, USA United States of America

Americas most popular nineteenth-century artist Winslow Homer celebrated many of the same pastoral themes seen in Jean-François Millet: Drawn into the Light. Watercolors like Feeding Time, Fish and Butterflies, and Summer are among the publics favorite images in the Clark collection, yet as fragile works are paper are rarely exhibited. Organized by graduate students Catherine Steward and Jennifer Greenhill, this exhibition focuses on some of Homers greatest achievements in the medium.
