"Sixth International Conference of Gaudinist Studies"
1999-11-12 until 1999-11-14
Centre of Gaudinist Studies
Barcelona, , ES Spain

There has been much talk about Gaudí and Jujol, very often including conflicting ideas and all too frequently displaying a marked lack of knowledge of both artists. Jujol worked with Gaudí; Gaudí trusted Jujol. How far did the work of one go, and where did the work of the other beginNULL This year's conference aims to focus on Jujol as an architect of colour and iron.

We remember Josep Maria Jujol (1879-1949) to mark the fiftieth anniversary of his death. Conference organised by: Centre of Gaudinist Studies (CEG) Sant Joan Despí Town Council Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) Sponsors: Sant Joan Despí Town Council Barcelona Provincial Council Technical College of Barcelona Conference director: Josep Maria Jujol Jr. Coordination: Toshiaki Tange, Chairperson of the CEG Luis Gueilburt, Director of the CEG Benet Meca, Lecturer at the EUPB Information and reservations: Ajuntament de Sant Joan Despí Tel. 93 477 0051 E-mail: ajuntament@sjdespi.com or Centro de Estudios Gaudinistas Tel. 93 490 4656 E-mail: ceg@tinet.fut.es PROGRAMME: Saturday 13 th November 10.00 Welcome and opening session Eduardo Alonso i Palacios, Mayor of Sant Joan Despí Centre of Gaudinist Studies Barcelona Provincial Council Technical University of Catalonia The Jujol family First session 11.00 Inaugural lecture, J.M.
