NEW LOCATION, NEW DATES, NEW FIAC FOR THE NEW MILLENNIUM !
The doors of the FIAC will open from Tuesday 14 -
Monday 20 September 1999 in the Pavillon du Parc
at Paris-expo, Porte de Versailles in Paris.
This change in location will enable the fair to meet
with its new artistic, cultural and economic
aspirations.
It is together with the active participation of its professional and institutionel partners and a real
desire to create a synergy with the other cultural events and institutions in Paris that this new
FIAC will find the energy necessary for its success at the dawn of the new millennium and the
European art market.
1999: The year for Latin America and several new initiatives ...
182 galleries representing 25 countries will participate in FIAC
'99.
A special tribute will be paid to 30 of the most representative
galleries from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico,
Peru, Venezuela,
and Porto Rico.
More than 50 galleries with an exhibition programme of contemporary artists will be exhibiting at
the FIAC for the first time, including galleries specialising in photography and prints.
A more dynamic Perspectives sector, an adjacent space dedicated to sculptures and
installations, a Café des Arts, a Cyber-Lounge and a paper called the Quotidien de la FIAC ...
