Musee de l'Orangerie in Paris is noted for its acquisitions of masterpieces created at the turn of the twentieth century by Cezanne, Monet, Renoir, Picasso, Matisse, Utrillo, Modigliani, Sisley, Laurencin and others. On the occasion of the renovation of the Musee de l'Orangerie, 81 works from its collection tour Japan, of which 66 are being shown for the first time in Japan. The exhibition presents the quintessence of modern French painting, from Impressionism to the Ecole de Paris, by these masters.
