The Art Gallery at the Spoornet State Theatre (STAG) is proud to announce
the opening of a photographic exhibition of the 1999 General Elections in
the Drama Marble Foyer of the theatre.
This highly praised exhibition, staged by the Independent Electoral
Commission (IEC), is a pictorial look at free and fair elections - the motto
of the IEC.
The original posters taken from the streets as well as authentic photographs
as seen through the lenses of newspaper photographers will be on display.
In this case every picture is worth a thousand words.
This exhibition of the 1999 General Elections opens to the public on 20
September and closes on 6 October. Gallery hours are 10:00 - 16:00 Monday
to Friday, and 10:00 - 13:00 on Saturday. STAG will also be open in the
evenings during all performances in the Drama and Opera theatres.
