Featured Artist Kurt Schwitters is represented by 27 collages organized
chronoligically to allow a sense of development of this important artist in
the area of collage. Also represented by smaller exhibitions are Guest
Artists Wil Declerq's collages of dramatic images and primary colors all
but leaps off the computer screen. And alanjlew@aol.com (his email
signature) composes complex, sometimes large scale works that evoke a sense
of lyricism and mystery. A new page, under construction, will be
dedicated to works inspired by the plight of Jonathan Jay Pollard.
Off the Rectangle! cis an exhibition of the free-form collage of David
Turner. The accompanying short esssay by that name provides a provocative
challenge to collagists to reexamine the connection of collage to painting.
