"FACULTY EXHIBITION"
1999-11-06 until 1999-12-06
Thorne Gallery, Keene State College
Keene, NH, USA United States of America

Both full-time and adjunct faculty will exhibit works in a variety of media including sculpture and oil paintings. For the first time, graphic design faculty will be part of the biennial exhibit because the art department expanded this year to include the graphic design major - formerly part of KSCs technology, design, and safety department.

The artists featured in the exhibit include Samuel Azzaro, Daniel Carr, Dede Cummings, Rosemarie Bernardi, Julia Ferrari, Henry Freedman, Heather Gendron, Laura Hall, Marsha Hewitt, Karl Hluska, Laura Jones, Ann Laroche, Jack Marshall, Stephanie Nichols, Walter Nicolai, John Roberts, Katharina Rooney, Peter Roos, Kenneth Spector, Alexa Thayer, Jeff Topping, and Karla Whitney.

Showing concurrently with The Keene State College Art Faculty Exhibition 1999 will be You Never Know: Recent Accessions and other Selections, an exhibition of recent donations and other art in the Thornes permanent collection including a series of color lithographs by Dutch artist Corneille, works by 19th-century artists who flourished around Mount Monadnock, and contemporary artists such as photographer Robert Mapplethorpe. The images in this exhibition, which will close Nov. 24, will change over the course of the semester.

The gallery is open from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday through Wednesday and noon to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday. The gallery, open only when Keene State College is in session, will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday Nov. 25-28. Located on Wyman Way, the gallery is accessible to people with disabilities.
