Based in Kyoto Japan, dumb type is a
multifaceted ensemble whose members
include artists originally trained in the visual
arts, architecture, music composition,
computer programming and the performing
arts. Their projects range from gallery
installations to publications to performance
works and have appeared throughout
Europe, Asia and the U.S. [OR] combines
sophisticated technology with
non-traditional theater practice to explore
some of today's most pressing cultural
concerns and offers an exciting glimpse
into the techno-theatrical experimentation
emerging in Japan today.
