Indepth Arts News: "GRAND OPENING OF THE ARTERY" 0000-00-00 until 0000-00-00 Artery Newport, KY, USA United States of America
Come and join us as we celebrate our Grand Opening!
The Artery, in cooperation with the Diversion program,
is hosting an Open House at their new space at 913 Monmouth Street in
Newport, KY. Diversion, a program providing
educational and artistic opportunities for community
youth, will be showcasing artwork from their recent
projects. In addition, The Artery, a newly formed
not-for-profit arts organization, will have open
studios of resident artists and a Reverse Raffle art
auction. Other activities include a shadow puppet
demonstration, an open rehearsal by Edge Cliff
Theatre, performances by Creations Theatre Studios,
and a dance performance by Holly Price. Please join us
for a night of arts activities, and learn more about
our rowing classes and programs. Doors open at 6:30
p.m., Diversion activities until 8:30 p.m., open
studios until 10:00 p.m.
Northern Kentucky University alumni Laura Hollis,
president, and Michael Hammonds, vice-president
created the Artery. The Artery, Inc. is a
not-for-profit arts organization dedicated to creating
opportunities for emerging local artists and small
artist groups, providing an atmosphere where artist
can work cooperatively, offering a unique venue
through which the community, especially youth, can
grow through experiences in art; and working
collaboratively with other arts organizations to
provide a larger impact in our greater community.
