The 2000 (4th) Changchun China International Sculpture Symposium will be
held in Changchun, a city in Northern China from Jul.-Sep. 2000 with the
theme Friendship, Peace and Spring by the Changchun Municipal Government
and China Guiding Committee for Urban Sculpture Construction.
The Organizing Committee is now inviting sculptors from all over the world
to work on site. Please consider the following fair conditions for
successful participation:
1. one-time, round-trip air ticket for China by the committee;
2. arrangement of hotel, meals, working materials, assistants and English
interpretation during the symposium in Changchun by the committee;
3. a diploma of honour and an allowance of US$2000;
4. permanent display of your work in Changchun International Sculpture Park;
5. tour and academic exchanging activities.
Entry request:
1. Those who are interested in the Symposium please contact the Cultural
Office of the Chinese Embassy for the invitation and information letter
issued by Mr. LI Shu, the Mayor of Changchun and the Chairman of the
Organizing Committee for the 2000 Changchun China International Sculpture
Symposium;
2. Please also contact us for the application registration form, fill in the
form and send it back by fax or E-mail directly to the organizing committee
or to us at Cultural Office, Chinese Embassy;
3. Please send to the organizing committee or us at least three or more
applicant schemes of your sculpture works, and give us three designing
photos for each work, indicating the sculpture work's name, creative
meanings, the type/colour/size, the committee appreciates approximately over
3m*3m in width and height, also the needed thickness;
4. Entry deadline is Feb. 26th, 2000.
