The late Keith Haring never failed to engage the public with his often political, sometimes
whimsical, but always powerful, visual art. Exuberant and joyful, Haring's work represents a
celebration of life and humanity.
Unhesitating in his belief that art can be understood and
enjoyed by all, Haring's work represents a celebration of life and humanity, and can be enjoyed
by people of every age and from all walks of life. Three large-scale figures that were included in
a 1997 survey of his work, Keith Haring on Park Avenue, are on view in the cathedral-like setting
of the museum's atrium gallery space. The works reflect Haring's position as one of the
quintessential progenitors of New York City's visual language. Organized by the Scottsdale
