"KEITH HARING"
1999-11-20 until 2000-08-15
Scotsdale Museum of Contemporary Art
Scotsdale, AZ, USA United States of America

The late Keith Haring never failed to engage the public with his often political, sometimes whimsical, but always powerful, visual art. Exuberant and joyful, Haring's work represents a celebration of life and humanity.

Unhesitating in his belief that art can be understood and enjoyed by all, Haring's work represents a celebration of life and humanity, and can be enjoyed by people of every age and from all walks of life. Three large-scale figures that were included in a 1997 survey of his work, Keith Haring on Park Avenue, are on view in the cathedral-like setting of the museum's atrium gallery space. The works reflect Haring's position as one of the quintessential progenitors of New York City's visual language. Organized by the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art
