The Museum of Contemporary Art announces the opening of New! With Anti-Oxidants at the Hazmat Gallery on Friday, January 21st, from 7pm-9pm. This exhibition brings the work of five artists from around the country to Tucson. Craig Cully, now residing in Connecticut, received his MFA in painting from the U of A last year. His work depicts disturbing figures. Zane Fischer, who is the director of Plan B Art in Santa Fe, appropriates objects for sculpture. Lauri Lynnxe Murphy, the founder of Ilk Gallery in Denver, paints elegant images using unusual materials. Angela Morales-Artega lives in Columbus, Ohio, and fabricates figurative, doll-like sculpture using steel or textiles. Valerie Soe of San Francisco does video and installation work.
