"Wild Women Theatre Workshop"
2000-02-15 until 2000-04-08
Beyond the Proscenium Productions
Sacramento, CA, USA United States of America

Beyond the Proscenium Productions presents Wild Women Theatre Workshop: An eight-week acting workshop for girls 10 to 17, their mothers and/or their grandmothers. Play, dance, create and perform together by exploring stories of feminine strength and beauty contained in Dr. Clarissa Estes's Woman Who Run With The Wolves. Honor what is smart, tough, and untamed by celebrating the female soul -- the joy and power of being a WILD WOMEN.

Bill Ritch and Karen James will direct the workshop. Bill and Karen recently collaborated on directing the Fair Oaks Civic Theatre's production of A Christmas Carol. The workshop will be held on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 PM from February 15 to April 8 at the Fair Oaks United Methodist Church. During the last three weeks there will be two additional classes on Saturday mornings from 9 to 11 AM leading up to the performance at 8 PM on April 8th.

The workshop will include making a Wild Woman mask. The basic materials for this will be provided and are included in the cost of the workshop. Participants will provide the paint, feathers etc. to decorate their own masks. Participants will also provide black tops, skirts and soft-sole shoes for their costumes.

The workshop fee for mother or grandmother and daughter is $135. There will be a fee of $35 for each additional participant from the same family. A deposit of $25 is requested to hold your spot in the workshop. You my pay the balance due in three equal payments by April 1st. For additional information and to register, please call Bill Ritch at 916 961 8225.
