Michael C. Carlos Museum
Atlanta, GA, USA United States of America

Organized by the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. this national tour is the first retrospective of the works of noted American artist Gordon Parks, which synthesizes all aspects of his career. Although Parks is best known as a photographer, his works as a filmmaker, novelist, poet, and musician will be included for the first time. Half Past Autumn: The Art of Gordon Parks will include about 160 photographs, accompanied by films, music, and manuscripts of poems, novels, and other writings by Parks.

It is co-curated by Philip Brookman, curator of photography and media arts at the Corcoran, and Deborah Willis, curator at the Center for African-American History and Culture, Smithsonian Institution.
