"BODY MACHINE – Augmented Reality Project"
2000-01-15 until 2000-03-12
Museum of Contemporary Art, Denmark
Roskilde, , DK Denmark

Kjell Yngve Petersen and Karin Søndergaard have created 5 new computer installations / interrelational machines which examins what happens when technology reaches into (or out toNULL) our reality. These installations appear to move on the edge of a wider or augmented reality, which the visitors have the opportunity to experience with their own body. Thus, the exhibition deals with our way of perceiving, acting and communicating through the body –– not in a virtual reality (where one steps into a computer-made space), but rather in a social place permeated with relations between human beings and machine.
