In June of this year the KASSANDRA 2000 happening will be arranged in
Finland, in three cities: Helsinki, Turku and Joensuu. During the KASSANDRA
festival artists from a different nations will gather in these cities and
the interaction between cultures will give birth to new artistic experiences
and presentations, exhibitions, music and performance.
We are a group of visual artists working in Joensuu, near the EU‚s eastern
border. We invite you and your friends to join us in bringing about one
event in KASSANDRA 2000, „A Europe of Dreams.‰
In ten years much has changed in Europe. Do we still have dreams for the

Send us your dream in visual form on a 20x20 cm piece of fabric. We will
collect all the works and construct a huge tent, „A Europe of Dreams.‰ This
work will be displayed in all the KASSANDRA cities in Finland, and possibly
elsewhere in Europe.
An international artists‚ symposium is planned for the near future for
Joensuu. Send us your address along with your dream so we can contact you,
if necessary.
