"2300º Degrees: New Museum Event to Cure Winter Doldrums

A new monthly event called 2300º will be launched Thursday, February 17,
from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at The Corning Museum of Glass. Open to the public,
this early evening event will offer live music, refreshments, and New York
State wine and beer.
2300º refers to the temperature of the reheating furnace (glory hole) used
in the Hot Glass Show. Participants will get their own special Hot Glass
Show as well as an opportunity to explore the Museum or browse in the shops.
We want our friends and neighbors to connect with us, relax with us and
make us a part of their social lives, said Ann Marks Hazlitt, head of
education and public programming at the Museum.
2300º is scheduled for March 16, April 13, May 18, June 15, September 21,
October 19, November 16, and December 21. Each event will offer a new
experience.
