Art Landing Gallery and Studios and The Artists Collaborative are pleased to
be working together with Main Events International this spring to host 1600
square feet of tent space for display and sale of visual arts. In addition,
we'll have mural painting, and a performing arts stage with scheduled
performances by individual musicians and groups, poetry, drumming, and
dance, and a seating area with cash bar. Corporate sponsors anticipated to
help make this possible for us include Smirnoff, Glen Ellen, and Channel 39.
Festival Hours:
April 7: Friday 5pm to 11:30pm (Set-up/Artwork Drop-off from 8am until 4pm)
April 8: Saturday from 11am to Midnight
April 9: Sunday from Noon until 10pm (Artwork Pick-up from 6pm until 10pm)
We'll have armed security from 11pm to 11am both Friday and Saturday,
with late night video screenings of Three Stooges until 3 am.
All work for display will require eye hooks on the back, ready for hanging.
We'll also have tables for sculpture, cards, pottery, jewelry, and printed
material. Mural materials including 4' x 6' masonite and 8' x 10' canvas,
latex paint materials, primer, and brushes will be provided for the artists.
Additional materials may be made available upon request, however artists
are encouraged to bring their own supplies.
In addition, we have two graphic design opportunities including a Festival
poster, and a graphic composition for the 24' x 40' drop for the main stage
utilizing the Smirnoff bottle logo (more information available).
If you are interested in participating or volunteering, please contact Art
Landing or The Artists Collaborative prior to February 21. We'll be
finalizing our schedule for press release by Main Events the first week of
March, and will need firm commitments from artists and performers. We are
very excited about this opportunity for all local artists, and look forward
to hearing from you.
