"EXHIBIT 2000"
2000-02-19 until 2000-02-27
New River Fine Artists Association, Inc.
Oakland Park, FL, USA United States of America

The New River Fine Artists Association, Inc. is holding its second major exhibition at 1175 N.E. 24th Street in Wilton Manors from Feb. 19th through Feb. 27th. More than 26 professional level artists will be showing their works. Along with the exhibition will be a varied schedule of artists demonstrations, interactive art for children, giclee print production, live music, refreshments and libation. Visit our web site or call: 954.568.0049 for more details. We plan to make the exhibition site a new center for the visual arts which will include working studios, exhibition hall and classrooms.

We plan to use this warehouse as a center for the visual arts which will include artists studios as well as a large exhibition hall. Membership is juried and all works are family friendly. We will be taking student interns who will work on a one to one basis with individual artists. Frequent artists demonstrations, seminars and workshops are planned for the public as well as for artists. We plan to interact with other local art groups by holding collaborative exhibits and open forums. Our organization was founded to give professional artists a place of their own to exhibit and work. Such cooperatives are common. However, we have lacked this venue in our area. We feel that it is time for the artists to have their own gallery and set their own prices for their works. This will be a great advantage for the public, both in cost of fine art and in providing a friendly, artist-run location for the enjoyment of various types of visual arts. The City of Wilton Manors, and the owner of the warehouse-prospective gallery/studio complex have been most supportive of our efforts. We invite all local artists, business people and the general public to participate in creating an exciting new center for the visual arts.
