"Carsten Nicolai: Prototype 1"
2000-02-25 until 0000-00-00
Guggenheim
New York, NY, USA United States of America

Friday, February 25 at 8 PM eastern standard time. In conjunction with the thing and e-flux, the Guggenheim presents a realtime audio Webcast of Prototype 1, a performance by Carsten Nicolai at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.

The German artist/musician Nicolai uses electronic sound and visual art to create a hypnotic environment constantly morphing in space and time. The Prototypes are constructed sound patterns based on sine waves and noise constellations translated into visuals through specially developed software.

Nicolai, also known as Noto, has performed at Documenta in Kassel and Ars Electronica in Linz. For more information on Nicolai, visit www.raster-noton.de.

Hearing the performance requires a G2-compatible RealPlayer, available at www.real.com. To listen, visit www.guggenheim.org or bbs.thing.net on the day of the performance.
