The Ohio State University at Mansfield announces a call for proposals to
exhibit artwork in its Pearl Conard Gallery to all emerging and established
artists residing in the continental United States.
The gallery seeks to provoke conversation about what art should or
shouldn't be. The artwork may be controversial, but i snot required, and
must be professional in its intent and impeccably crafted. Proposals on
unlimited topics and issues may include painting, sculpture, fiber arts,
mobiles, graphics and printmaking, ceramics, glass design, photography,
cutting-edge concepts, and limited installations.
The gallery does not charge a fee nor pay a fee for exhibitions. It does
pay for the return shipping of all artwork accepted for exhibitioins and
charges a 30 percent commission for all sales. Admission to the gallery is
free.
A complete exhibition proposal includes 12 slides, slide list, resume,
artist's statement, a bibliography (if applicable), and a self-addressed
stamped envelope for return of slides. Please submit your proposals
postmarked by March 1, 2000.
