Instructor/Assistant Professor, St. Louis Community College at
Florissant Valley. Teaching duties include: drawing, figure drawing and
foundations design; courses in selected candidate's specialty possible
(painting, sculpture, printmaking, etc.). Prefer significant
post-graduate exhibition and publication record. Include 20 slides of
current student work, 30 slides of own work include 10 slides of drawing
and/or figure drawing. St. Louis CC at FV is an accredited
institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art and
Design. Requires a Masters degree in subject area; prefer MFA. Begins
August 2000. Days/evenings/weekends.
Successful candidates will have knowledge of learning theory, experience
in collaborative and interdisciplinary teaching techniques, a commitment
to assessing and documenting student success and experience in using
teaching to enhance learning. The College requires faculty with
excellent communication skills and facility in collaborative work
environments who are open to new ideas. Cover letter, resume, slides
