World Festival of art on paper will be held from June 15th to
September 15th 2000 in Kranj. This is an event which gives artists
a possibility to present themselves by their original works realized
on paper in different techniques (drawing, pastel, gouache, print,
ink, watercolour, collage, small works).
The manifestation is divided into three parts:
First part is consisting of five individual exhibitions of extra
invited artists. These exhibitions will take place in the big
exhibition hall of Kranj Commune from June 15th to September 15th 2000.
Second part is consisting of meetings of extra invited painters in
Triglavski narodni park. These meetings will be organized in the way
that all invited painters could also paint. The realized art works will
be exhibited on the final manifestation in the big hall of Kranj Commune.
The third and also the most important part is the main exhibition which
will be held from 1st September to 15th September 2000 in the big show
grounds of Kranj. The International competition was published on
1st January 2000 and all artists of the World are invited regardless to
their age or artistic orientation. Deadline is June 30th 2000.
The principal aim of this exhibition and very open Competition is to
show what is actually going on in art studios all over the world. At the
same time this exhibition will reflect not only the real situation in art
but also the new trends. Selectors of this exhibition will consider the
artistic quality as only criteria for selection. In this way the
individual poetics of each artist could be expressed.
The organisers are expecting a big interest among artists. The final
selection will comprehend between 400 to 500 artists.
