Dinh Quan and Nguyen Xuan Tiep are two of the most well known artists of a new generation of painters in Vietnam. They are both graduates from the Vietnamese Fine Art University and well established artists, 36 and 44 years old. They have participated in exhibitions in several Asian countries as well as in the USA, Australia and Europe. Quan has taken the traditional technique of lacquer to new frontiers by his innovative approaches and Tiep uses watercolours on Do' paper to express the beauty of women.
