The Ann Arbor Artisan's Market opens for its tenth season on Sunday, May 7,
2000 in the Farmer's Market at Kerrytown. The Market features fine arts and
handmade crafts by more than 50 Michigan artists. Original paintings and
photographs; blown, slumped, fused and soldered stained glass works;
birdhouses and yard ornaments; furniture and home decorating accessories;
jewelry, clothing and other wearable art are available each Sunday through
December. All are original creations using wood, fiber, clay, glass, metals,
herbs, flowers, feathers, crystals, shells, and leather in an ever-changing
array of items for all ages. Plants and produce are also sold in season.
Weekly guest musicians, storytellers, and art demonstrations add to the
Market's diversity and broad appeal. Surrounded by many fine restaurants and
the unique Kerrytown shops, the Market offers a full afternoon of leisurely
browsing. Open from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., May through December. Parking is
plentiful and free.
New artists are welcome! Artists interested in exhibiting need to bring
identification and a copy of your Michigan tax license the first day you
