Indepth Arts News:
"Nature s Treasurehouses"
2000-04-04 until 2000-04-08
Natural History Museum
London, ,
UK United Kingdom
The Natural History Museum is hosting an international conference, Natures Treasurehouses, from 4-7 April 2000. It will explore
natural historys cultural and scientific place in society: present, and future.
The participants will be those who play important parts in one or more of the five
main areas of the conference; education, economics, science priorities, media and the arts.
The approach is forward looking; it is not only to ensure a proper
awareness and recognition of such institutions current and potential
roles, but it is also to explore how their contribution to major issues
can be enhanced. The format will be one of presentation and
discussion, through high-level international invited speakers and subsequent
open debate.
We hope to see all those who have an active interest in these topics to be participants in this conference and discussion. We look forward to meeting you in London.
