"Call for Entries: Images of Conscience"
2000-06-09 until 2000-06-30
Artboard.co.uk
, UK, UK United Kingdom

Artboard.co.uk, the free on-line gallery, has announced an exhibition to promote awareness of and action against, the nightmare that is life for many people. There is a whole lot of stuff going on in the world that is not nice. Artists, caring people that they are, tend to have a lot of feeling for those whose lives are full of pain. They shout, often aloud, usually through their art.

Artboard is putting together this exhibition of artwork that is about people who are not too well off, whether though urban depravation or political greed, local or far away. It has launched a search across the net for really strong images that depict the sorrow, evil and imbalance of existence, that exists everywhere. The aim of the exhibition is not to sensationalize, it is to create awareness and motivate action. You can read a thousand words, but we all know what a picture does. If you would like to submit images for inclusion in ‘Images of Conscience’, please email conscience@artboard.co.uk .
