The powerful, psychologically penetrating portraits of Alice Neel
(1900-1984) are the subject of this landmark retrospective.
Celebrating the centennial of the artist's birth, the exhibition
offers the first full-scale examination of Neel's inspiring and
provocative life through seventy-five paintings and watercolors,
many of which have never before been on public view.
