"Art in the Age of Queen Victoria: Treasures from the Royal Academy of Arts Permanent Collection"
2000-07-16 until 2000-09-24
Cincinnati Art Museum
Cincinnati, OH, USA

Artist members of Londons Royal Academy of Arts contributed major works to the organization throughout the century. This exhibition, which features 70 paintings and 12 sculpture, presents a dazzling selection of works by Sir John Millais, Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema and many of their contemporaries. A growing appreciation of these less well-known but extraordinary painters is now beginning to take hold in the art world.

Organized by the Royal Academy of Arts, London and touring with the assistance of the Denver Art Museum. Supported by an indemnity from the Federal Council on the Arts and Humanities.
