"Van McElwee: Recent Works"
2000-07-18 until 2000-07-29
Forum for Contemporary Art
St. Louis, MO, USA

The exhibition Van McElwee: Recent Works includes several changing video installations. One of the new works he will premiere titled, Procession, will be on view from July 18 to July 29, 2000. Procession shows the new space created within a city by the communal celebration of a parade. A parade’s recorded images are modulated into a kaleidoscope of color and sound.

McElwee’s video installations have been shown internationally, from The Kitchen in New York to Museo de la Ciudad in Madrid. His work has been included in the Oberhausen Film Festival, New York Video Festival, Berlin Film Festival, London Film Festival, Film-Arc, Worlwide Video Festival and others.
