"It's In Your Head: Young UK Artists"
2000-07-26 until 2000-09-30
Natural History Museum
London, , UK

Its in Your Head, an art exhibition on scientific research into the mind by UK artists aged betweeen 16 and 22, opened to visitors at The Natural History Museum on Wednesday 26 July 2000. Art and science come together in this unique exhibition that loooks inwards at the source of creativity and invention for artists and scientists alike - the human mind.

Its in Our Head features the best work from ten arts centres around the UK and is the culmination of a year long programme of workshops between neuroscientists from leading research centres, arts professionals and young artists.

Each art centre focused on a particular area of research and interpreted their findings using different media - electronic imaging, sculpture, photography and video installations. Perception, memory, visual interpretation, chemical communication, visual ambiguities and substance abuse are some of the issues addressed.
