The Port of Seattle is seeking an artist to create a significant artwork for the Pacific
Marketplace at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. This artwork has the potential to
be a signature statement for both the Central Terminal Expansion (CTE) public
space and the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and an unforgettable icon for the
Pacific Northwest region. This commission could be created from a variety of
materials; however, the successful artist will understand how to dynamically activate
space and use the changing light quality of this environment in both day and night.
