This landmark exhibition brings the ancient
city of Antioch to life with extraordinary
treasures created nearly 2,000 years ago and
reunited for the first time since their
discovery in the 1930s.
As diverse as New York City and Worcester
are today, Antioch attracted ambitious
entrepreneurs from all over the
Mediterranean. Discover how they lived and
worked through a recreated Roman dining
room, a luxurious garden pool, sensuous
sculptures, stunning glassware, magnificent mosaics, and more than 100 other objects.
Works are from Worcesters world-renowned collection, as well as the Louvre, Princeton
Museum of Art, Baltimore Museum of Art, and several other major European and U.S.
museums.
