The second Affordable Art Fair will be London and the UKs biggest Art Fair, with over 100
original print and contemporary art exhibition stands. It will be for original contemporary art and
original prints retailing at under £2,000. This is original paintings and prints only: reproductions
will not be included. The first Affordable Art Fair, held in October 1999, was a huge success, with 10,000 visitors and
over £1 million of art sold.
The whole ethos is to make buying art easier, by being approachable, educational, affordable
and helpful. In doing so, they hope that people who have never bought an original work of art feel
that they can.
There will be lectures on art appreciation; demonstrations and pamphlets on art techniques,
mediums and styles; there will even be a FREE creche.
