Sebastian Hempel's installation at the Centre of
Attention is comprised of cubes constructed from
humble materials (wood, plastic sheeting).
The seemingly unpredictable movements of this
intriguing work and its inappropriate scale, create an
environment that is at once vivid, threatening and
frustrating.
Sebastian Hempel studied sculpture at the Dresden Academy and at the Slade School of Fine Art. He has had numerous group and solo exhibitions in Germany. This is his first UK solo show.
