"Brice Marden"
2000-11-17 until 2001-01-07
Serpentine Gallery
London, , UK United Kingdom

The American painter Brice Marden first received critical acclaim in the 1960s and 1970s and is now considered to be one of the finest artists of his generation. This exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery will consist of eighteen paintings, as well as works on paper, from the 1990s, and will present for the first time the Attendant series, the artist's most recently completed paintings and related works.

It will be the first major presentation of Marden's paintings in a public gallery in the UK since the Whitechapel Art Gallery's exhibition in 1981 .

To accompany his exhibition and to support the Serpentine, Brice Marden has donated an exclusive, signed, limited edition print which is for sale at the Gallery for under £550 including VAT. Reservations are limited to two per customer. To reserve your prints please call the bookshop.

The reproduction shown above is an example of one of Brice Marden's recent prints, and is similar to the limited edition print that will be for sale at the Serpentine Gallery
