Photographer's Statement About Portrait of the City
With stills of fleeting moments, timeless towers, misty lakes, sun kissed
cathedrals, interior arias, fantastic façades, familiar faces and future
leaders, this exhibition honors local designers, artists, and tradesmen who
are transforming the City into a special place, which breathes dignity and
hope into daily life. The City created by these talented and dedicated
professionals inspires every citizen, and resonates with every visitor as a
community where a smile, a cheer, a handshake or a hand up are not hard to
come by. This exhibit is dedicated to the designers and craftsmen, steel
workers and stone cutters who have labored to make the mythological city
know as Austin, Texas.
