"Workshop: Photographing Your Artwork, Phoenix, January 20, 2001"
2001-01-20 until 2001-01-21
Artlink, Inc.
Phoenix, AZ, USA United States of America

Photographing Your Artwork will be held in Phoenix, Arizona on January 20, 2001 (with a sell-out overflow date of January 21, 2001). This is an informative workshop on how to make transparencies for your 2-D and 3-D artwork, organized by Artlink, Inc. and given by David Moore, who has documented the works of de Kooning, Hanson, Haring, Motherwell, Picasso and Siegel among others for museums and collectors for many years including the Frederick R. Weisman Foundation.

David Moore, noted art documenter will demonstrate practical issues of making the best transparencies you can make and to develop digital asset management of your art via traditional and digital photographic technologies. He will show the effects of both good and inadequate lighting, and angles on different mediums using your artwork as examples. Polaroids will be taken to show these effects. At the end of the workshop, you will be able to make your own transparencies or to better understand what to ask of your service bureau. This workshop is good for improving the quality of gallery, juried exhibition, website and publicity submissions. The challenges posed by your art will be addressed in this intimate setting.
