Indepth Arts News: "Drawing the Nude: Member Curated Exhibition" 2001-02-03 until 2001-02-24 Ohio Art League Columbus, OH, USA United States of America
The Ohio Art League is pleased to announce its February
2001 Member Curated Exhibition, Drawing the Nude, curated by Brent Payne.
“Drawing the Nude” is designed to pay homage to the time-honored study and
representation of the human body in art.
The work is produced by artists
from their League's weekly life drawing sessions and will feature: Ron
Anderson, Les Davis, Jeff Dickerson, June Ehrenfeld, Elaine Freeman, Judy
Hazen, Cecilia Hetzer, Jim Morton, Todd Muskopf, Brent Payne, Joseph Puican,
Stacy Renee, Martha Schultz, Estelle Silbermann, Uko Smith, Tiffany Stewart,
Becky Taft, Doug White and Geale Windeyer-Irwin.
About the MCE's: The Ohio Art League invites it's 500+ artists to submit a
short written proposal to the Exhibition Committee. Exhibitions can be
thematic, retrospective or otherwise. A proposal includes and outline for an
exhibition describing the idea, well thought out and presented with visuals.
The proposals are reviewed by a committee of League members, and are
selected based on the exhibition idea. Once a proposal is approved and
scheduled the committee does not interfere with the integrity of the
exhibition.
