Organized by TFAA, Searching for Osun features the work of Joni Jones, an Associate
Professor of Performance Studies at the University of Texas at Austin, whose interest lies in
ethnography and the sharing of cultural information through performance.
Osun, first
presented at the Carver Museum in Austin in October 1999, is a performance installation based
on Jones' research of the cosmology and spiritual practices of the Yoruba of Southwestern
Nigeria.
