"The Lenore and Burton Gold Collection of 20th Century Art"
2001-03-03 until 2001-05-27
High Museum
Atlanta, GA, USA

This exhibition showcases the collecting activities of Burton Gold and his late wife Lenore, who have given a substantial portion of their collection to the High. The collection is a diverse group of 20th-century works including painting, sculpture, and works on paper. As informed and active collectors, the Golds bought difficult and challenging art before many Atlantans realized they were classics.

The exhibition will pay tribute to the importance of this gift to the High and to the strong influence the Gold's activities had in inspiring other Atlantans to collect contemporary art.

The Lenore and Burton Gold Collection of 20th Century Art is organized by High Museum of Art, Atlanta.
