From 6 -22 September 2001 MediaArt Friesland presents another international media art festival: MediaArt Festival Friesland. Exhibitions by young artists and
presentations of video tapes and CD ROMS of international artists will be held at Theatre Romein and Fries Museum in Leeuwarden and at Museum Smallingerland in
Drachten. Workshops will take place in Leeuwarden, Drachten, Harlingen and Franeker.
Entry rules
Time and place:
MediaArt Friesland will take place in Leeuwarden, Drachten 6 - 22 September 2001.
Selection:
The production year of the submitted works must be 1999, 2000 or 2001. Each video or cd-rom must reflect both a sense of personal enquiry and a high level of
experimentation with the medium. The Programming Committee’s decision is final.
Availability of the work:
The media artist or the distributor of each work selected for the exhibit agrees to make the work available to the organizer for the entire duration of
the exhibit.
Authorization:
The media artist or the distributor authorizes MediaArt Friesland to use and to print all information concerning the media artist and his/her work for
promotional purposes.
Archives:
The media artist authorizes MediaArt Friesland to keep a copy of the submitted work. The work will be placed in the archives of MediaArtFriesland and will not be
made copied or transfered public without prior written consent of the maker.
Entry:
A signed copy of the entry form as well as a screening copy of the work must arrive at the address below no later than June 15, 2001.
