"Housing and Studio Space for Perspective Artist Homeowners"
2001-05-18 until 2001-06-01
Surreal Estates
Sacramento, CA, USA United States of America

Surreal Estates is a group of professional artists in Sacramento, California, who are building a unique Live/Work community in the Uptown Arts District. Working with Andrea Kincaid, architect, Mercy Housing, US Bank, the Dixieanne Neighborhood Association, North Sacramento School District and other government and private organizations, Surreal Estates will break ground this summer on 11 artist residences and separate studios.

This first of it's kind project will be built with the artist's providing sweat equity under professional guidance, and when complete will be individually purchased by them under a conventional mortgage with payments and costs suited to the working artist's needs. Applications are still being accepted by interested artists. You must be a visual artist, have good credit, not owned a home in the last 3 years, and be able to provide 35 hours of labor per week during construction.

For more information check out the web site http://www.surrealestates.org or call 916-568-5009 or 916-447-2206
