"South Florida Cultural Consortium 2001 Fellowships"

As part of its Regional Initiatives Program,
the Palm Beach Institute of Contemporary Art in Lake Worth is hosting the
works of the recipients of the South Florida Cultural Consortium 2001 Visual
and Media Artists Fellowships June 1-30. It is a particular honor for us to present such high quality work, says
PBICA Director Michael Rush. We can all take pride in the fact that these
excellent artists are living and working among us.
The South Florida Cultural Consortium is an alliance of the arts councils of
Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe and Martin Counties. The 2001
recipients received fellowships of $15,000. Recipients of the awards and
exhibiting artists will be Will Cordova, Rosario Marquardt and Roberto
Behar, Charles Recher, and Kyle Trowbridge of Miami-Dade County; Robert F.
Arnold, Ray Azcuy, and Jason G. Hedges of Broward County; Bruce Helander of
Palm Beach County; Jenny Zeller of Monroe County and Wynsum Hatton and
Andrew Wise of Martin County.
The South Florida Cultural Consortium Awardees exhibition runs through the
month of June. PBICA is located at 601 Lake Avenue in Lake Worth, Fla.
Museum hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 12-6 p.m., and the first and third Fridays
from 12 p.m.-8 p.m. Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for seniors and
students, children under 12 are free. Free admission is offered every first
Friday of the month from 5-8 pm. For more information, call the Palm Beach
