The Engraving Nucleus and the Municipal council of Alijo, Portugal, through their united cultural project, invite for the first time, Portuguese and foreigner engravers, to take part in the first edition of the INTERNATIONAL ENGRAVING BIENNIAL OF DOURO - 2001. The exhibition will take place in Alijo, from the 10th August to 10th September 2001.
The First ediction of this biennial will have the following prizes:
The first prize Cāmara Municipal de Alijó--- 5.000 Euros
Second prize Quinta do Portal ------------- 2.500 Euros
5 honourable mentions ------------------------5x 500 Euros
The deadline for receiving the works is June 30 2001.
