"Sideshow of the Absurd: Art by Pamela Joseph"

For the last three years, Pamela Joseph has been working on her traveling show, The Sideshow of the Absurd, a multi-media exhibition of humorous drawings and mechanical sculptures with sound. The Sideshow opens at the Northern Indiana Arts Association in Munster, IN on Sunday, July 1, 2001 with a reception from 1-3pm, and will be on exhibit until September 2.

The inaugural venue was at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art on January 12 with the largest attendance in the history of the Museum. The Sideshow will be on exhibit at the Jonson Gallery at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque from November 13 until January 18, 2002, as well as the McKinney Avenue Contemporary in Dallas, Texas in the fall of 2002.

Pam was recently awarded a 2001 Visual Artist Fellowship from the Colorado Council on the Arts. The panelists described her work as well executed, powerful, and edgy ... (the artist) combines large-scale work with intricate detail.
