Glenbow continues its celebration of its collections with the new exhibition
2001: An Art Odyssey: Recent Acquisitions to the Contemporary Collection. Contemporary art
takes many shapes and forms, and this features an eclectic selection of contemporary work
created from the 1960s to the 1990s, all acquired by Glenbow in the last six years.
Explore the diversity of contemporary art, with works ranging from paintings to video
work; from mail art to internet-based work; from sculpture to a work made from honeycomb and
beeswax. The exhibition features over 30 artists, including a wide range of Canadian artists such
as John Will, Andy Fabo, Aganetha Dyck, Attila Richard Lukacs, Leila Sujir, lain Baxter, and
Jamelie Hassan.
