The first extensive German exhibition on English watercolourist,
draughtsman and caricaturist Thomas Rowlandson (1756-1827) showcases some
150 watercolours, drawings and prints from international public and
private collections. The viewer will enjoy works from all periods of
Rowlandson's oeuvre including specimens of his more spicy visual satires.
The exhibition runs from May 19 through July 29, and a fully illustrated
catalogue is available at the museum shop (Schlütersche GmbH, 208 pp., DM
70 incl. shipping in Germany).
