Christianne L'Espérance ventures into the trans-cultural arena with her
sculptural work. Informed and inspired by Eastern culture and mysticism,
L'Espérance often combines historical iconography with contemporary symbols.
Rich patterning and exquisite forms that resonate with qualities of
transformation and metamorphosis are a constant in her work. The Atelier
Series is an ongoing programme at the Gallery that features recent work by
Canadian artists from Hamilton.
